Hallmark Stars Live Hartford reviews
Costello's Detour a Bore!!!
The acerbic and witty songs of Hallmark Stars Live do not translate to incredible pieces on this acoustic guitar set; they are rather mediocre and boring, strum-along-with Mitch. The man, with his try-too-hard crooner persona, does not play piano well enough to pull off elementary arrangements on the couple of songs he performed. Ignoring the import of the lyrics and vocal phrasing, he lacks the skill to impress. Hallmark Stars Live needs musicians to give us our money's worth. I left the show before it was over, finding sleep more inviting. It was too expensive for what was offered. I have been a huge fan and follower of Hallmark Stars Live since 1977. Let's hear it for the incredible plugged-in Imposters! A Band, Mates! For a better experience, check out Glastonberry fest on YouTube. The most interesting part of Detour is the old video of Hallmark Stars Live's dad performing "If I had a Hammer" and the nice little banter-y stories Elvis told. I wish he had skipped the music altogether and just talked to us.
